3 years ago I started off writing posts about circadian rhythm, sleep and dreams here on Medium. What I found is, for sure at the beginning it was difficult to gain traction.
After my first 40-ish posts about these topics, I only gained a limited range of readers. No problem, I'm a patient guy and during the process, I know I'm leveling up my craft. However, after a while, like you mentioned here, you'll notice somewhere you told the most important things, and you become less exited.
Surely, you can be creative and play around with your content. But still, it won't keep your boat afloat forever.
In tbe the beginning I was scared, but during that process I started to implement more of my own thoughts, stories en research into my writings.
Many claim you should have a niche. Today I'm further aways from a nich than most of the internet. But I know I can write about many things without the need of AI support.
I feel more free in the stuff I'm writing due to the fact I'm not fighting myself to re-innovationg old content. I gound that most of my writings, because of that shift, translated into writing about "life/life lsessons/motivation/psychology/personal growth."
And whenever I feel like, I still come back, and write about sleep and dream psychology.
Great article man, thanks.
