First of all, condolences on the passing of your granfather.
In such cases, writing can be one of the best therapies. It offers the power to comensate your emotions while paying homage in a way to people such as your grandfather or other loved ones.
I've writen a few things in the past to about people I've lost, and often I teleport them back from the universe into my writings whenever I find it applicable.
Games in that sense can be used as a therapeutic tool. When it comes down to loneliness, these days games aren't a lonelyman's world anymore as from the days I started to play them.
You writing about this works very inspiring.
These kind of stories connect on a different level.
Your Minecraft method makes me think of the upgraded version of how todlers digest unfortunate happenings through physical play (with toys and role play).
Thanks for sharing this Aiden!
In the earlier internet days I caught myself using online writing as a compensating aid. (Talking about the early years 2000--low ping Modum dail-in). There was something called "Comic chat," One of the only chat applications available back then. It was pre installed on Microsoft. It was very funny though, the chat appeared in a text balloon just like from a comic book with the funny characters.
I was About 14. I just had two years of cancer treatment behind me, and when my parent weren't around I went on Comic chat and trailed to chat about it with the few online(rs) back then in my best possible my English.
