It's well known among endurance athletes from what I know already 15 years or more, that beetroot juice offers great enhancing effects.

It think you've mentioned all variables and defended the positive effects of beetroot overall.

Back in the day I did some research on beetroot too and came to a similar conclusion essentially as the 500 to 600 ml you refered to here, preferable intake divided over the day.

One thing I recall from my old research, could be wrong tho, was that you'll benefit more after you consumed beetroot juice for about 3 weeks. That only than the effectiveness of your dosage became significant.

Although I must say I didn't experimented thoroughly to underline it by experience.

Nevertheless, when you consume beetroot juice, soon you become aware of the short term effects already. No doubt.
