Great goalsetting Chandryan, I wish you success! Pick them well.

I've cranked up my reading habit to a decent rate since 2019. Before then I was reading about 5-ish books, a 30 page (quick read) daily maritime newsletter, and one weekly economics newsletter (50 pages) per year.

Last year I've read 34 kindle books and 5 physical hardcovers. That said, the amount of books you read don't per se mean you've learned more than when you read 10 books. However, you did absorb much information subconsciously.

Often it happens to me that I'm in a conversation and someone talks about a topic and without much effort some story pops up because I got triggered by something interesting or important mentioned in the conversation.

I think it's wise to say that reading often has a tremendous impact on the way our brain operates.

Thanks for sharing your approach and insights.
