Getting in bed on time is one thing.

Getting asleep is another issue..

Many people say they struggle with falling asleep.

How fast do you fall asleep?

The time it takes you to fall asleep is one element which contributes to your sleep performance. You can go to bed in time, but then stay awake forever.

Achieving great sleep by being able to fall asleep rapidly isn’t always that easy. A lot of which you are doing during your awake time, influences your ability to fall asleep in record time.

One important thing worth mentioning, although falling asleep within a few seconds seems to be really great, most of the time it isn’t.

When you fall asleep directly within a few seconds, it’s a sign of sleep deprivation. The fact that you fall asleep in record time, mostly means that you are paying back sleep debt, and that your sleep wasn’t that great for a while already. Although this is not guaranteed, and there are people who fall asleep rather quickly, in most cases it will point to a manifested problem.

Still, here are a few suggestions which will kickstart that desired process:
