If this can provide clarity:

Calories IN were still to high, even considering your high activity level.

Ice cream contains high fat and sugar, fat is the highest 9 (kcal) whereas sugar is only 4kcal.

Smaller portions, consuming less fat, a sufficient water intake should improve that. (One simple trick is to eat more Cold meals, they often already contain less fat)

Increase your protein intake might also help.

It's very hard (nearly impossible) to outwork poor diets (at least in terms of excessive calories that is) .

In a 20 minute meal, we can easily overeat a 1.5 hour workout, just saying.
