Like Dr. Mehmed sugests, aim for natural melatonin production in healthy persons is preferable.

Still, melatonin could be used as a tool, once you understand the idea of the mechanism well.

My experience from testing with it, years back is that it seems to give you an edge to sleep in in the beginning, but after a two or more dossages within a few days, it doesn't work as good, and you feel the urge to crank up your dose.. That's the time to stop straight away. The key message is not to mess with your natural production of the endocrine system.

One of the simpliest ways to induce melatonin is by darkness, night mask works best for me.
