Eating too late isn't good, although some people would struggle less with it.. The majority will encounter problems.

Something worth mentioning is the fact that you could include reflux, a well known problem which occurs with babies.. in that sense it's already interfering with your ability to fall asleep.

In terms of general health, it has been proven that you're better off not digesting food for 12 to 14 hours during a day cycle, preferably 14..When not eating for some 2 to 3 hours before bedtime, your body will have digested most of your food, and your internal temperature will be a bit lower to induce sleep as well.

One of the largest effects of light is that it helps raise the stress hormone cortisol. Not all stress is bad you know as long as it doesn't form a chronic stressor.

So in that sense we need cortisol to become more awake. Additionally, when you stop eating a couple of hours before you go to sleep, you are more likely to achieve those 14H health threshold.

Those 14H is something Satchin Panda, declears in his book : "The circadian code".
