How do you perceive fear, and is it a bad thing per se?

Strong emotions are strong triggers,

Are you ever scared?

Have you been scared before?

FEAR, what exactly is it?

First of all, FEAR is a primitive emotion which is naturally powerful. It involves a universal biochemical response as well as a high individual emotional response.

The amygdala is a part within your brain which is commonly thought to form the core of a neural system for processing fearful and threatening stimuli. Detecting threat, and activation of appropriate fear-related behaviors in response to threatening or dangerous stimuli.

The emotion alerts us to the presence of danger or the threat of harm, whether that danger is a real physical threat or imagined psychological danger.

Therefore it can also be the symptom of some mental health conditions, including panic or social anxiety disorders. Additionally you could include phobias and Post-traumatic stress disorders to the list!
