This is so true.
When you trying (or willing to) change yourself, this is the only approach that actually does the trick.
It easily relates to James Clear's tactic on getting rid of old habits. You change unprefered (dirty) habits by new, healthier, or better habits.
By changing your habit you redirect your future path, we avoid facing what we dislike.
And all of it boils down to some self-control.
